Crispy golden pasta chips (Print Version)

Golden air-fried pasta tossed with olive oil, Parmesan, and spices for a crispy, flavorful snack.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pasta

01 - 9 oz short pasta (penne, rigatoni, or farfalle)

→ Seasonings

02 - 2 tbsp olive oil
03 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
04 - 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
05 - 1/2 tsp paprika
06 - 1/2 tsp salt
07 - 1/4 tsp black pepper

→ Cheese

08 - 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until just al dente according to package instructions. Drain well and pat dry with a clean towel to remove excess moisture.
02 - In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
03 - Add the grated Parmesan cheese and toss again to distribute evenly.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if needed.
05 - Arrange the pasta in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
06 - Let cool slightly before serving. Serve with preferred dips such as marinara or pesto.

# Top Tips:

01 -
  • The crunch is absolutely addictive, like a cross between a crouton and a potato chip but better
  • They come together in under 30 minutes with ingredients you probably already have
  • Everyone will ask for the recipe and nobody will believe its just pasta
02 -
  • Moisture is the enemy here, so take the time to really pat the cooked pasta dry before seasoning
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket or the pasta will steam instead of crisp
  • These lose their crunch overnight, so only make what you will eat the same day
03 -
  • Use a paper towel to really press the cooked pasta dry before seasoning
  • Let the air fryer fully preheat so the chips start crisping immediately
  • Season the chips while they are still warm so the cheese sticks better
