Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Sear & Bake Chicken:
Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear for 2 minutes per side until golden. Transfer to baking dish. Pour chicken broth and barbecue sauce over chicken. Cover tightly with foil and bake 20 to 25 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (165°F/74°C).

Recipe FAQs

How do I make the chicken tender and juicy?

Slow cooking the chicken in barbecue sauce and chicken broth helps infuse moisture and flavor, making it tender enough to shred easily.

Can I use sweet potatoes instead of russet potatoes for fries?

Yes, sweet potato fries add a sweet, earthy twist and can be baked using the same seasoning and method.

What is the best way to get crispy fries?

Tossing the cut potatoes evenly with oil and spices, then baking on parchment paper at a high temperature with a flip halfway ensures a crispy exterior.

How can I add extra flavor to the sliders?

Try adding pickles, sliced jalapeños, or a drizzle of extra barbecue sauce for additional layers of taste.

Is it possible to make this meal ahead of time?

The chicken can be cooked in advance and reheated gently. Fries are best enjoyed fresh but can be partially prepared beforehand and baked before serving.
